I’ve heard this song on the radio here and there… I only watched the video this morning after hearing that this song was polled and men dislike it, but women like it…. of course I had to watch it after that…. the title is enough to make you think….. slow fade…. people don’t crumble in a day…..
I, of course, will have to come to terms with the slow fades in my own life…. it talks about “the little feet that follow behind you…. in the the choices you make.” Don’t think that this entry is going to be a big bummer… I can’t leave it that way…. come on! I am the type of person that makes steps very mindful… I typically don’t just do things until I analyze it from every view point… which can be a negative, but at the same time… I am not jumping from one frying pan to another.
If we use my personality… I want to slow fade…only fade IN…not OUT. As I was writing this yesterday (it has taken me two days to finish it.) Jonathan was sitting next to me in the reading area as I typed. He had a book. It was a book about different emotions. He said, “Mama, purple one crying, whay whay, sniff…he so sad.” I said, “Oh let me see, he is sad…why is that?” Jonathan said, “He misses his mommy….. ( then right there in front of me) Jesus, peas help purple one to feel better, Jesus Name Amen.” He looked at me to see my immense pride and shock… it means that they really get it…that when we stop to pray for boo boos, and everything else…we pray for everything in this house….. but that is a seed that is in his 2 year old heart…. and it was sweet. Do I have slow fades (out) I do…. those are mine to deal with…. but I got to see the slow fade in yesterday…. and it was precious… they are watching and we are teaching…. even when we think we aren’t!
